These chemicals remove suspended substances, which degrade the filtration performance of RO membranes, and prevent dirt from adhering to membranes. There are five problems associated with RO membranes: clogging, the deterioration of the permeable water quality, the decrease of water for treatment, the increased cost for membrane change, and the large amount of water used and wastewater generated.
